habs jetzt mit dem ie probiert dann klappts auch. komisch mit dem firefox ging es nicht, evtl. doch ein cache problem.

-> könnt diesen thread ja löschen

ich hatte das vorgestern auch mit dem deutschen Teil vom Google-Verzeichnis, wenig später funktionierte es wieder...

Hi all,

The way it looks now the whole google directory is out !!

A backdoor frontpage is still in..

Don't know whats happening but if it is true then we are stand at the beginning from a new totally new ranking index...

Also the PR might change very quick for many..

Aber warum sollte das einen Einfluß auf den PR haben? Google Directory vererbt doch sowieso keinen PR, der kommt doch von dmoz.org?

Hi all,

I just saw a new updated Google directory....guess this was also the reason why it was online...

Some sites who where before in DMOZ only are now also in the Google directory.

It would be fine, BUT there are sites we track, showing an "active" Category-Button (Toolbar), if pressing the button to see the directory's category, you will be surprized by NOT founding the site...

That's a major bug (Google Directory-Bug), we scan since July 2004 and it explains some serious SERPs-jumps and inconstencies...

That's why some people don't believe, that a DMOZ-Listing - generally - gets you out of the sandbox: taking a look to the toolbar button does not mean anything unless you are not really listed in the mentionned Google-Directory-Category.

Beeing a "geek legend" does not mandatory mean outstanding programming skills - not coding but programming - ...

I think you could be right, Google updates his directory...(let's hope without the known bugs...)

Hi KeepCool,

As you monitor sites, i do that also.

I did monitor a site that has been optimized by me...
On the 2 major keywords the site did rank 12 and 8...
Not bad, but ofcourse aiming for more.

Then a listing in DMOZ did take place....
Google did show the directory indication and the ranks where (and are)
now 1 and 2 on those words...(note, the site content did not change)

Still...when following this DMOZ link...it was not shown in the Google directory.
Yesterday...i did notice also that the google directory was out...

This morning is saw it was back again....and this same monitored site was now also listed, giving me the conclusion of an update.

Sorry, I missunderstood you. What I mean:

There are sites listed in DMOZ. So they got listed in Googles directory too...Sometimes - for days, weeks or even months - THEY ARE GONE in G's directory...In these cases G does NOT ALWAYS switch to older directory data, but for some sites, they "have lost the path"...Seen with .edu-Sites too with multiple listings in DMOZ / G-Directory...

IT IS a major bug...I never smoke grass, I just walk on it...
