ich versuche grade die wikipedia software zu installieren, leider klappt es nicht so wie ich mir das dachte...

Und dann bricht die Installation ab.

Das Verzeichniss /tmp existiert aber (chmod 777).

Es liegt einmal neben dem /html Verzeichnis

FTP Root:
/html (Dieses Verzeichnis wird vom Apache als root ausgegeben)
/tmp
/cgi-bin


Und nur zur Sicherheit habe ich in
/html auch noch ein /tmp (Chmod 777) angelegt
(/html/tmp)

Ich verstehe nicht warum es nicht geht.
Hat jemand eine Ahnung woran das liegen könnte?

in deinem Fall lautet der Pfad zum temp-Verzeichnis

/srv/www/XXXXXX/tmp

Einfach die Variable ändern, dann sollte es gehen.

Sowas sollte man eigentlich selber herausfinden können

ich bastel grad an einem tool das die dump files der wikipedia parst
und aus den inhalten dann html files erzeugt, die wikipedia software
selbst halte ich für grauenhaft
